Job Context

Security255 is a cybersecurity and secure development firm operating across France.

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Software Developer capable of designing, developing, and maintaining secure applications and systems.

This position combines software development, secure coding practices, and collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to deliver robust and reliable solutions.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure web and software applications

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

  • Participate in software architecture and technical design decisions

  • Implement secure coding best practices

  • Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services

  • Perform debugging, testing, and performance optimization

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality standards

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities

  • Assist in DevOps processes and CI/CD pipeline implementation

  • Maintain clear technical documentation

  • Support deployment and post-deployment monitoring

  • Escalate complex technical challenges when required

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

Experience Requirements

2+ years of experience in:

  • Software development (backend and/or frontend)

  • Working with modern programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)

  • Database design and management (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc.)

  • Secure development practices

Experience in cybersecurity-oriented projects or SME environments is a strong advantage.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of secure coding principles (OWASP awareness is a plus)

  • Familiarity with Git and version control systems

  • Ability to work independently

  • Client-oriented mindset

  • Professional communication skills

  • Responsible, disciplined, and ethical

  • Ability to work under pressure when needed
